Arguably a cult film among baby boomers, this delightful comedy/fantasy tells the story of a nervous little Brooklyn bookkeeper who has an overwhelming love for fish. After rejection by the Navy, he actually becomes a fish (through the miracle of animation), meets a snail who shows him the "underwater" ropes, falls in love with a lady fish, and becomes a real war hero.

I remember when this WONDERFUL MOVIE with the very wonderful actor DON KNOTTS first air on tv , I believe I was just about 6 or 7 years old ! My Mother and I watched it together and we both loved it , my mom told my father about it and the next time it aired on television my dad watched it and really enjoyed it as well ! I just can't believe it is considered a BABY BOOMER CULT MOVIE 😡😠 , just what is this world becoming ?????? Saying that a CLASSIC FAMILY MOVIE IS A CULT MOVIE BAW HUMBUG 😾!!

saw it as a young girl it was magical and funny, im 61 now and would love to show it to my younger family members.

Love love this movie....I was 2 yrs old when my Daddy sat with me on Saturday matinee on our black and white picture tube...eventually we got a big color console and watched this one every chance I could!!! RIP Daddy 💙✌🤗
