What you can't see can hurt you. Emmy winner Elisabeth Moss (Us, Hulu's The Handmaid's Tale) stars in a terrifying modern tale of obsession inspired by Universal's classic monster character. Trapped in a violent, controlling relationship with a wealthy and brilliant scientist, Cecilia Kass (Moss) escapes in the dead of night and disappears into hiding, aided by her sister (Harriet Dyer, NBC's The InBetween), their childhood friend (Aldis Hodge, Straight Outta Compton) and his teenage daughter (Storm Reid, HBO's Euphoria). But when Cecilia's abusive ex (Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Netflix's The Haunting of Hill House) commits suicide and leaves her a generous portion of his vast fortune, Cecilia suspects his death was a hoax. As a series of eerie coincidences turns lethal, threatening the lives of those she loves, Cecilia's sanity begins to unravel as she desperately tries to prove that she is being hunted by someone nobody can see.

What the hell has happened to Elizabeth Moss, for a wonderful actor that is the only thing that can be mentioned in any spectrum of favourability. The premise could have worked if there was a writer, not sure what happened there but leaving the rest of the cast who can't act to ad lib under what they thought was a plot was not the right move. An absolute waste of time. Stick with Black Swan Or The Devils Backbone Or Donny Darko

Ok movie. Concept seems to be re-made. Just added the tech but yeah not that great. I wouldn't watch it again and i wouldn't buy it. I would recommend to watch it when it is heavily discounted like $3.99 etc. Don't go out of your way though. Only gave it a 2, out of respect of the crew that worked their butts on it. The cast tried to make it but fell short for me which is shocking because they are usually quite good actors.

A lot of people seem to be complaining about the $30 rental price. The only reason it's this price is the film is still within it's theatrical release window and with the COVID-19 situation, Universal is giving people the option of seeing it without waiting several months for the sell through window to open. You would easily spend more than $30 for tickets, popcorn, parking etc if you went to the cinema to see the film once. Watching it in the comfort of your own home easily trumps that. I personally like this approach, as I find it preferable to going to the cinema - because people - and many people now have 4k projection systems and Dolby Atmos capability in the home. Sadly this won't be a permanent thing once COVID-19 ends, theatrical release windows and physical cinema only presentations will resume and we will have to wait several months for sell through windows to open. Still it's nice while it lasts. As for the film, it's a very good remake.
