About this movie

THE IRON LADY is a surprising and intimate portrait of Margaret Thatcher (Meryl Streep), the first and only female Prime Minister of The United Kingdom. One of the 20th century's most famous and influential women, Thatcher came from nowhere to smash through barriers of gender and class to be heard in a male dominated world.

In the last 50 yrs, apart from Thatcher, only the current PM Cameron has possessed the backbone to rule Briton. He's researched & eloquent in parliament - and does his best to see projects through. You cannot please all of the people all of the time (JFK based on Lincoln).

Margaret Thatcher is undeniably one of the best leaders our country has ever seen. The Iron Lady tells a fantastic story of her life and the bits we didn't know about; nobody could tell that story better than Meryl Streep. You turn if you want to, but the lady's not for turning!

Void of many facts but great acting Paints a rather better picture of Thatcher than the let's privatise the NHS , concrete over the rail network to run buses , and sell off all the public services to my business supporters. Still a well worth watching film
