Actually ACTRESS/SINGER POP ICON DIANA ROSS MADE A REMAKE of this Movie for her song (#1 DANCE HIT) 'EATEN ALIVE' (1985) THEY USED THE SAME STUDIO SET LOCATION AS IN THE 1977 MOVIE. the Video was Nomationed for BEST Video by a FEMALE ARTIST , AMERICAN MUSIC AWARDS..

I've seen this film a handful of times throughout the years and I find it unique and very disturbing. The actors, all competent, play second banana to the unsettling, scientific freakshow on this Island. Stan Winston Studio's man-animal beasts are grotesque and off putting. The jungle/island photography is beautiful as is co-star Fairuza Bulk as the mysterious daughter of Dr. Moreau. While a solid, Hollywood Sci-fi production, this might be too much for some viewers, "Cronenbergian" for sure👍😉

I don't care what anybody says, I love Brando, and Kilmer in this version of Dr. Moreau. I wish I would have seen this earlier in my life 43 now, in the 90's I was a teen and was doing my thing. The 90's were the last of when movies were great.
