One of the best movies I have Watched in my life. I love the Joy Luck Club and the stories that are passed down from the jitters to their daughters in order to give them the strength and choices that they never had, but learning to let go another them use their voices to speak their own truth. This is a movie men for mothers and daughters to watch together. It can help them to speak to each other and build a relationship through conversation...

A forgotten, oft times untold autobiographical record: the Asian immigrant struggle, from China, to America. Expensive costs, of a new country, along with culture mores, of conservative Chinese life-impeed/mold, the maturation experiences, of 1st generation, Chinese immigrants. Family reunification, is always forefront, in friendly discussions-children, left behind, are missed. Racist politics in America, limit opportunities, for Chinese Americans, who eventually long to visit, the homeland.

Read the book and save yourself the pleasures experienced by prisoners in Guantanamo Bay. It has all of the elements of a Viagra commercial, while being drawn out for hours. Every character looks like a Vegas hooker, enforcing the fact that the book is far superior.
