About this movie

Experience the song-filled celebration of friendship, fun and adventure that was the last film to receive Walt Disney's personal touch. Embark on a thrilling, adventure-filled journey with the boy Mowgli as he makes his way to the man-village with Bagheera, the wise panther. Along the way he meets jazzy King Louie, the hypnotic snake Kaa and the lovable, happy-go-lucky bear Baloo, who teaches Mowgli "The Bare Necessities" of life and the true meaning of friendship.

Just as I remember it as a child, a wonderful restoration of a classic. I loved the movie then, still love it now, and enjoyed it with my son. There are iconic songs like The Bare Necessities and I Wanna Be Like You which stand strong on their own , but there's also great little songs like the Elephant Patrol marches and the vultures' acapella. Only thing missing is a technical issue: When Shere Khan is listening to Bagheera talking to the elephant patrol, the audio cuts out. There are a few missing pieces of audio in that 10-20 seconds of video. If the developers can have a look into that and restore it, that would be fantastic.

Walt's last direct film is possibly his most infectiously enjoyable, capping off a string of 13 animated classics. Rest in Peace.

Great fun, foot tapping beats and funny.
