The heroes of Bricksburg are back in a new action-packed adventure to save their beloved city! It’s been five years since everything was awesome and the citizens are now facing a huge new threat: LEGO DUPLO® invaders from outer space, wrecking everything faster than it can be rebuilt. The battle to defeat the invaders and restore harmony to the LEGO universe will take Emmet (Chris Pratt), Lucy (Elizabeth Banks), Batman (Will Arnett) and their new friends to faraway, unexplored worlds, including a strange galaxy where everything is a musical. It will test their courage, creativity and Master Building skills, and may just reveal how special they really are.

While the one liners are witty and playful, the movie disappoints based on the trajectory of the first movie. The father is now completely absent from the scene. He's abdicated his realm rather than sharing and teaching. The dystopian Mad Max setting for the teenage boy's Lego world equally represents parental abandonment. The secondary plot (brother and sister relationship) is clear while the primary Emmitt plot is overworked and significantly longer and more convoluted than needed.

Every single Lego movie that has ever come out has never ceased to amaze me, and this film is no different. This film does keep the fun aesthetic the original gave everyone, and of course, very funny! As for the lesson, 100% relatable to me on the ideal of opening the heart, and learning to work with your siblings 😁 it's definitely a passable sequal to the Lego Movie and it's a musical too! The songs are just plain awesome 'no pun intended'. Very well done.

U guys are all haters i love this movie its for adults and children i aslo love the first one too. It could be a familly movie night thing to watch and the story line is amazing it really has shocking momments and funny momments the real life part was funny too u guys made a amazing movie i cant im....oh wait and the dinosaurs THAT was epic great work guys. And whoever doesnt like this movie well thats your fault for not likeing this movie
