"The Last Starfighter is a fun and nostalgic movie that's perfect for a family movie night. It's a bit cheesy by today's standards, but the heart of the story is still there. The special effects, while dated, are still impressive for a movie of its time. Kids will love the adventure and the underdog story

From the ridiculous 80s computer effects to the dumbly hummable theme, this is fantastic sci-fi fantasy from the age when it was all the rage. I will admit that my love for this movie comes from a definite sense of what I remember about it (it's really not that great).

This movie, just like the original tron was a cut above all else when it came to the computer effects. Very impressive when I saw this as a kid at the theatrical release, and still love it now.
