"Perfect, ain't it?" says young Will Jamison to his friends about how the Earth revolves around the sun. "We'll always be goin' somewhere, but we'll never have to leave." Perfect too, is this winner of eight international film festival awards. Set in rural Canada during the mid-1950's, The Last Winter is the magical story of Will, a young boy trying to hold onto his childhood in the face of change. All his life, Will's been a country boy. But now his family is moving to the city. Unable to understand why his parents would want to leave the farm, Will tries to prevent the move.
