It's much better than the critical reviews say. It's not really a 5 star. More like 4.5. But so many people under-rated it, that I thought I should overrate it. On to the review. Visually the movie was very nice. The CG was very respectable. It wasn't over the top with costumes and such, but it wasn't horrible either. As far as the setting, again respectable. They did a good job of setting up a modern world where witches roam. The plot was somewhat original and the twist was not extremely easy to figure out before the reveal. I respect that most. More action and situational intensity would have been nice.

Pleasantly surprised with this movie. I agreed to watch it assuming that it would be another main stream big name b rated movie meant to just bring in fast cash...I was wrong. Impressed with vin's lead character...not the normal muscle bound hunk role he normally falls into. really enjoyed the female lead, never seen her before, typically don't dig the British accent, but she plays the role very well. Hope to see more of her in the future. Story line was believable and plot not easily guessed.

I've seen hundreds of these type of movies and the only thing that ever changes is who the hero is. It's the same old story of good vs. evil and it ends the same old way. The hero has to make a choice. Continue the fight or destroy the one thing that will give him peace and he ops to continue the fight against evil but on his own terms. So he locks away the item that lets him continue the fight and he cuts all ties with those that betrayed him. He even asks the one man that tracks his history to come back
