Mickey Rourke and Bai Ling star in this epic tale of courage and heroism in a time of war. During the invasion of Parthia, two Roman legions have been brought to a standstill in the snowy mountains of Armenia, leaving them slowly dying in the freezing cold. The rest of the Roman army is two weeks march away, and the region swarms with Parthian patrols. Their only hope for survival is Noreno, a half-Roman soldier, who is entrusted with the impossible mission of crossing the deadly terrain to seek help for his men and turn the tide of the battle.

Ratings and reviews

Just seen it and I was impressed as to how good this turned out. Even though it was a little low-budget they still made it work.. quality production, actors gave it their all and the storyline held its own. Giving it a 4 stars - a must watch!

Anyway battle is real and in times to bringing soldiers of the Senate to put Tree-hugging Barbarians out of business this is the best story put in a way where courage can make the world a much more livable place. P.s. Shout for blood..!

**Contains spoiler** Low budget. The good..some of the scene of the wilderness. The just ok..the actor that played Nereno. I didn't hate him. The bad.. everything else. Poor editing. Poor story line. They only had supplies for a few days..he took over a week. Rourke was painful to watch, and he had too much mascara and/or fake eyelashes? And fake nail salon nails. Why?! Not judging, is he transitioning? His line towards the end, "And have cut off his SUPPLY of LINES" is almost comical.
