When bizarre incidents follow the passing of science-fiction film scholar Forrest J Ackerman, the director's friend and mentor, there is physical evidence from an apparent "after death communication." A visit to the Chairman of the Chemistry Dept. of Indiana University leads to lab studies at New Jersey College and a scientific study with psychic mediums at University of Arizona, Tucson. Rather than explaining away the anomalous contact with the deceased, the evidence grows more complex and baffles all involved. The mischievous sense of humor of the late Ackerman survives him and shapes the investigation into life's greatest cosmic mystery: Death
