If one wants to see this film Do Not watch the trailer, it will dull you to sleep and/or death. Just view the film, it's good.

Stamp's character knows there is something at the bottom of this. The California light and landscape are as richly painted as the characters. Special among thriller's in it's contemplative pace and it's beauty as a piece of art. A meditation and collage of past and present pieces melding together.
