The battle for Pride Rock is ravaged with betrayal, tragedy and drama, ultimately resulting in Simba's exile. With help from a curious pair of newfound friends, Simba will have to figure out how to grow up and take back what is rightfully his. The all-star cast includes Donald Glover as Simba, Beyoncรฉ Knowles-Carter as Nala, James Earl Jones as Mufasa, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Scar, Seth Rogen as Pumbaa and Billy Eichner as Timon. I watched it in hindi and the most satisfying experience to relax my soul is that language where no character except for Timon and Pumba have bad voice acting. The lion king is simple and has no castle of kings or anything related like seen in the 19s. What makes The lion king a worst animated adaptation is that every animal in every situation don't show emotion in their realistic faces. I comprise that and realistic reminds me how realistically the animals' body moves unlike any disney movie

It does not capture the magic of original, but impresses with the magic. Each and every scene is believable. And a mass scene where the father saves Simmba would make the theatre roar. His death was emotional and if you think it was a bit fast you get a emotional payoff in the second half. The comedy is a disappointment as the duo are not funny as they were in the original. And the climax where Scar dies is satisfying. Definitely a must watch for vfx lovers

I don't know what's point in blaming a film because it's "hyper-realistic". The trailer and poster clearly showed off what the movie will look like. The problem is not with the new Lion King; It's with the burden of expectations you've put on a modern animated movie.
