In the summer of 1948, Dr. Faraday travels to attend to a patient at Hundreds Hall, home to the Ayres family for more than two centuries. The Hall is now in decline and its inhabitants are haunted by something more ominous than a dying way of life. Most of the poor reviews refer to the apparent vague story line, slower pace of the movie and the ambiguous ending, which are unconventional. I think the problem is that the movie is highly misunderstood. The film is not a horror/thriller movie as most viewers would expect. It is actually a film that explores the longing to love and be loved, to be part of something so desperately it becomes obssesive and destructive. It's a great film that leaves you thinking and asking questions after it ends.

This movie wants to be so much more. A romance, scope to discuss mental illness, a horror movie late life coming of age... idk. Nothing worth watching to be scared. Acting was okay, in that I completely felt awkward im the awkward parts.

Not scary at all... thought this was gunna be thrilling but I ended up thinking like "is this over yet" towards the end... but it had some good parts but not one of my favorite. Acting is great just drags....
