人稱「戴克」的克恩縣副警長喬伊戴科恩 (丹素華盛頓飾) 獲派往洛杉磯執勤，處理本應迅速完成的搜證工作，卻捲入了追尋連環殺手的漩渦之中，而市內還因而瀰漫著濃濃的恐懼氣氛！帶隊調查的洛杉磯警務處警探詹姆巴克斯特 (雷米馬利克飾) 十分欣賞戴克的偵探直覺，私底下找到他幫忙。然而，隨著調查逐漸深入，戴克不為人知的往事竟隱隱浮出水面，當中埋藏的驚天秘密，比案件本身更駭人聽聞！

The acting in this movie is great, it sometimes comes up short in story. The ending also left something to be desired. At full price it's not worth it, but on sale it's a must grab.

Save your money. Nothing of note happens in this movie. You have an emotionally wounded cop and a witty serial killer. If you are hard of hearing and still want to watch this, turn on close captions so you hear the whispering in the morgue and other scenes.

It was missing something, great actors of course, but the storyline didn't build properly to make an strong emotional impact and reason.
