Kern County Deputy Sheriff Joe “Deke” Deacon (Washington) is sent to Los Angeles for what should have been a quick evidence‐gathering assignment. Instead, he becomes embroiled in the search for a serial killer who is terrorizing the city. Leading the hunt, L.A. Sheriff Department Sergeant JimBaxter (Malik), impressed with Deke’s cop instincts, unofficially engages his help. But as they track the killer, Baxter is unaware that the investigation is dredging up echoes of Deke’s past, uncovering disturbing secrets that could threaten more than his case.

Save your money. Nothing of note happens in this movie. You have an emotionally wounded cop and a witty serial killer. If you are hard of hearing and still want to watch this, turn on close captions so you hear the whispering in the morgue and other scenes.

The acting in this movie is great, it sometimes comes up short in story. The ending also left something to be desired. At full price it's not worth it, but on sale it's a must grab.

Based off a script written in 1990 the films 90s setting is not by design. It is alright but it is not that exciting, the acting is good.
