It's a wild ride of high-velocity action, explosions and gunfights that brings the famed masked legend to life through brand-new eyes. Johnny Depp's performance in this film is masterful. The storyline does fall away a bit in the end, but sections of the film and the imagery in much of it is both a spectacular homage to THE american genre, the western, as well as having a verisimilitude with the history of the west. A great film in the same league as Sergio Leone to which it pays homage to with Italian titles, but not an exceptional film as the storyline petered out as well as the support to Depp being scant at times. Nevertheless, I have bought a Blueray copy and will be enjoying it many times over. Don't listen to two bit critics who are jealous that they could never land a job in the film industry. Watch it with pop corn and a coke in hand. You will not be disappointed UNLESS you expect more than a western can deliver.

This is a terrible film. Utter mess, massive waste of my time. One of those "odd interesting moment" films but probably only three minutes of footage worth watching.

I absolutely loved Johnny Dep in this film. So different from Pirates series. I liked the change from laughing pirate to serious but funny Indian. I cannot believe it was given a bad review. It was put together well & I will be buying it to watch again.
