Ratings and reviews

I gave this film a miss when it came out as I didn't like the Pirates of the Carribean series much (well the 1st one was OK but the franchise went downhill fast after that) & the reviews were mixed at best. When I saw this film on Play at a decent price I thought I give it a go & I really enjoyed it. It's got action (the last 20-30 minutes or so is one long, great action sequence leading to a triumphant climax) & a fun silly script. Lags in the middle but much better than the reviews suggest. Fun film...

This was a refreshing change. Something a little bit different, its silly as hell, action packed and as long as you don't expect an Oscar winning performance or a storyline of the century and take it for what is is , a parody of the original program then its a great all round family movie. Depp is is normal self in this movie, adding a quirky, Captain jack-esque characterisation to Tonto.

This was a let down. It must have been one of those moments when Mr. Depp decided not to read the script before he signed the contract. This is the first farcical western I have seen.and it destroyed my heroes. I think its time for the makers of bad films was compelled to refund their customers. Because I want my money back - please !! I was robbed !! Apparently I have to give it a star. I grudgingly give it one. Now get your foot off my neck !!
