From director Ralph Bakshi (Fire and Ice, Wizards) comes an ambitious animated version of the classic Tolkien tale about the Fellowship of the Ring embarking on a journey to destroy the One Ring and end the evil Sauron's reign over Middle Earth.

I always loved these Rankin & Bass cartoons. From the classic Christmas movies (there are too many to name here) to their Lord of the Rings trilogy cartoons. They also have a Hobbit cartoon as well which is good. These are all older cartoons, from the 1970s, so if you don't like older stuff this is NOT for you! These cartoons are much more FAITHFUL to J.R.R. Tolkien's books, even more so than Perer Jackson's trilogy and ESPECIALLY over Amazon's woke garbage!!!!

This is what got me hooked on lotr more than 25 years ago. I love the rotoscope animation and the design all around. This is only half the trilogy, which is tragic, but still a fantastic film.

This is the ugliest animated movie I've ever seen. I know they're using a different animation style but it still looks like vomit.
