I love the novel, and although the movies are not perfectly in-sync with the novel I do feel that they are an amazing experience on their own. Watching in 4K HDR using 7.1 surround is AMAZING. Better than watching in a theater, but that was also amazing back in the day. Now for those of you whining about not being able to watch in 4K, please advise WHY you cant. Many people are able to watch whatever setting we choose. The PC I use to watch well exceeds the 4K requirements though.

This is the remaster that Peter Jackson and his team did. The picture quality and new audio is absolutely breathtaking. Bought this on offer which works out to £6 per movie. Watched it on my Samsung 4K 43” QLED tv using YouTube ( better quality than google play movies app). Highly recommended if you love these movies and want to experience it again in all its 4K glory

Will only stream in 4k when streaming on apps. No option to change resolution on browser, and capped at 480p on youtube browser. Requested refund but got an auto reject. I read an article that the youtube issue was being worked on but that was back in October 2020. I'd say go elsewhere for purchasing movies.
