Never seen it till tonight, so without nostalgia, I'd say it stands the test of time. Very creative interpretation of vampires in the modern world, with good cinematography and imagery (love the flying shots) and all sorts of metaphors and connotations abounding (sex, drugs & rock and roll, rebellion and inter-generational conflict, anxiety around divorce). Oh, and there was a scene involving an oiled-up, saxophone-wielding, spandex-clad rock god near the beginning that blew my mind!! lol. Highly recommended movie.

Oh yes up there with fright night as a iconic vampire movie definitely a cult classic high recommendation if you want to see Joel Schumacher at his best here it is here's what the Batman films could have been if he wasn't limited like he said this is him at his highest potential and yet clearly shows! such an iconic film I guarantee you're going to want to see all three what do you like all three it's up to you I feel like by the third one you kind of get into Cobra Kai territory but high rec

This is a classic movie that needs more advertising. The cast is amazing. The story is amazing. It is fun to watch and yes it is funny in some places. I love Kiefer Sutherland. He is an amazing character actor who can play pretty much any character and give it credibility. I watch this movie as often as I can find it. One day I'll buy it when I'm better healed. I hope Kiefer keeps making movies. His other movies Cowboy Up, Cowboy Way, Eye for an eye, Flatliners to name only a few are examples.
