From the moment it is purchased from a shady New Orleans auction house, and its buyers discover masterful brushstrokes beneath its cheap restoration, the fate of the Salvator Mundi is driven by an insatiable quest for fame, money and power. But as its price soars, so do questions about its authenticity. Is this multi-million dollar painting actually by Leonardo - or do certain power players simply want it to be?  Unravelling the hidden agendas of the world's richest men and most powerful art institutions, THE LOST LEONARDO reveals how vested interests became all-important, and the truth secondary.

This painting was so badly damaged, it's impossible to really tell who the artist was. I have seen a photo of the damage before the woman "restored" it. Mohammed bin Salman, the bloody dictator Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, (who had the esteemed Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi murdered) paid 450 million dollars for this damaged, unauthenticated painting and then got angry because the Louvre would not display it next to the Mona Lisa. Dictators don't always get what they want.

For those with passion of arts - it's very interesting documentary. Don't mind ratings here, trust Rotten Tomatoes high rating.
