Learning her name is Beth (Schilling) and where she lives, he shows up at her door, and ends up taking a job at her family-run local kennel. And Zac Efron does an awesome job in this lead role! He's actually got talent! (she's good too, he just surprised me)

Solid 3.5 ⭐ for me. Though the film had some obvious shortcomings I ended up pleasantly enjoying the main characters journey and the build up romance. Best performer is easily the sheriff who is easily hateable.
