At its core, The Man With The Golden Gun is a very good film with a very intriguing plot, introducing a villian that overshadows 007, Francisco Scaramanga. However, The Man With The Golden Gun fails to capture the thrills of the pre title sequence until the ending "mano a mano" showdown between the two, opting instead to focus on a mixture between serious and comedic in between, a staple of the Roger Moore era. Still, it is one of my favorites from his era.
