Storytelling was disjointed, fighting badly cut, none of the blows looked like they had any force behind them. RZA displayed the emotional range of a mouldy potato. I wonder how much they paid Tarantino to put his name on the box. One more thing, the soundtrack was AWFUL, really badly put together. Which makes RZA an actual triple threat, he can't do anything well. Write, act, direct or compose.

based on the fact that i had waited a while to watch this i was really looking forward to it. i was thoroughly disappointed though. the storyline could have been more focused. the fight scenes were quite mediocre to say the least. to cap it off the running commentary was a real put off. all in all this flick did nothing for me but let me down. would not recommend this to any kung fu flick fan...I'd be laughed out of the room. terrible.

Seriously, absolutely terrible. The Quentin Tarantino connection is no reflection of the quality of the film. The script is embarrassing, the acting terrible, the direction dismal. Even the hairstyles are laughable. Not even "so bad it's good". If RZA is obviously an egotistical maniac or its a daft tax write-off.
