Ex-Marine and hardened Arizona rancher Jim Hanson (Liam Neeson) simply wants to be left alone as he tries to make a living on an isolated stretch of borderland. But everything changes when he witnesses 11-year-old migrant Miguel and his mother fleeing from a band of assassins sent by a ruthless drug cartel. After being caught in a shootout, Miguel's mother begs Jim to take her son to the safety of their family in Chicago. Defying law enforcement, Jim and Miguel hit the road and slowly begin to forge an unlikely friendship while the cartel's relentless assassins blaze a bloody trail, hot on their heels.

This film is a very typical Liam Neeson film, and I liked it. A great Saturday afternoon movie. Please Note: Everyone is entitled to their opinion, yes, even Deb. I may, or may not agree, but that's her opinion. Just like all who mention her in your reviews... As for Randy; Liam is rich because WE the people gave him the money. Edwin; Wow, you've resorted to 5th Grade name calling, good job!! By now (it seems) everyone should know what Liam Neeson's movies are; heavy, gratuitous violence with a "Do the wrong thing for the right reason" theme. Either you like them or you don't.

The Marksman is one of those movies I have seen in the theater and I really liked it but I don't understand how this movie got so much negative attention and still rewatching this I am still very confused about all I think this is one of my fav Liam NEESON characters he has played so far And I do like the action in this movie what is like scattered which is not like focused in the movie which is good so it's about character which I do like and the only thing why it is 4.5 out of 5 and not a 5 because there are no past scenes to feel bad for Liam NESSON characters which does suck tbh if there was passed than it will be my fav LIAM Neeson Thriller but still is a great movie So I give The Marksman an A- 94%

Thanks deb you should be banned from reviews. I'm guessing you are the type a person that is never pleased with anything in her life has been negative in everything that you do. Maybe not maybe you're really happy fun person but that just sucks you know. Typical Action Liam Neeson movie. That's why I watched it.. Because i like that type of movie amd know what I'm getting into when I see his name as the main actor... I give it 2👍👍 ....
