Better than Reloaded though still not a patch on the first, but since I'll be buying #2, specifically for that chase scene which i could happily watch every single day, might as well get this too and complete the set. There are FEELS. Which is why it's more likeable than #2, it feels slightly less contrived than #2 and features no cringeworthy, pointless sex scenes. Trinity's last speech is a little too long to be believable, and Neo takes way too long to realize the truth about Agent Smith; but the filmmakers did alright for women and diversity, possibly a little heavy-handedly but it's still appreciated, and the climactic battle scene was excellent despite all the CGI. And the black cat from the first Matrix makes a cameo at the end! 😻

The matrix would be a lot better without this movie. You enjoyed the first, you sort of liked the second, and watch the franchise slowly crumble with this. A bad movie all round.

A lot of this film is set in the "real world", so it's a bit of an antithesis to part 2, with emphasis on the battle in Zion. Some of the exposition seems to grate a little this time, especially with Neo in the station & Morpheus & Trinity meeting the Oracle, but the final chapter's definitely a fitting conclusion.
