In the sleepy mountain town of Newville, everyone liked Christmas, but a creature called "The Mean One" that lives north of Newville does not. A young girl named Cindy witnesses the murder of her parents by the blood-thirsty green figure in a red Santa suit. Twenty years later, the Christmas-hating monster begins to terrorize the town once more. Only Cindy can stand in the way of the murderous rampage and save Christmas.
