When Taylor Darcy (Jonathan Silverman), a young TV writer, learns he has cancer, his cynical and sarcastic persona shows no sign of letting up under the dire circumstances. In fact, the more sympathy he receives, the more his bitterness grows. At the hospital to undergo treatment, Darcy one day encounters another patient, Lynn Piegi (Natasha Gregson Wagner), who suffers from leukemia. With a kindred spirit in his life, Darcy's outlook begins to change.
