About this movie

Locked in a frightening, lonely world of silence and darkness since infancy, 7-year-old Helen Keller has never seen the sky, heard her mother's voice or expressed her innermost feelings. Then Annie Sullivan, a 20-year-old teacher from Boston, arrives. Having just recently regained her own sight, the no-nonsense Annie reaches out to Helen through the power of touch the only tool they have in common and leads her bold pupil on a miraculous journey from fear and isolation to happiness and light.

Timeless classic! It is pure joy to get a glimpse of Helen and Anne's relationship. While some of your natural senses may be dull (i.e. Helen's sight and hearing was dull), God can use the other senses (taste, and feeling for his glory). I wish this movie was longer. The acting in the movie is just awesome. There are also some funny scenes in this movie. I would suggest having this movie in your hidden treasure chest.

I have not viewed this film in over 20 years and I still can recall the impression this true story made on me. All of the wonder in this film as it unfolds before you is true to title " The Miracle Worker"!
