Tungkol sa pelikulang ito

David Drayton (Thomas Jane) and his young son Billy (Nathan Gamble) are among a large group of terrified townspeople trapped in a local grocery store by a strange, otherworldly mist. David is the first to realize that there are things lurking in the mistÉdeadly, horrifying thingsÉcreatures not of this world. Survival depends on everybody in the store pulling togetherÉbut is that possible, given human nature? As reason crumbles in the face of fear and panic, David begins to wonder what terrifies him more: the monsters in the mistÑor the ones inside the store, the human kind, the people that until now had been his friends and neighbors? In this legendary tale of terror from master storyteller Stephen King, the thin veneer of civilization is stripped away, the masks are discarded, and the true horror is revealed as us.

****(SPOILERS)**** The very ending was a horrible letdown and wasted opportunity for a continual sequel. The alternative ending not shown in the theaters where they're still alive and in the jeep continuing driving around in the mist as the movie fades to black was totally awesome, and was in my opinion the right way to go, instead of dad shooting everyone to end their misery, the mist disappears, and the town is saved. SUCH A BIG LETDOWN

Another movie where they have to make the Bible some make-believe ritualistic barbaric tale... The Bible does say blood is required for atonement but God Himself provided the sacrifice by sending His own and only Son(Jesus Christ) to suffer and be crucified for the sins of the world. No one has to suffer to be accepted by God. Just Believe on Jesus today!

After seeing the color palette of the film in features and trailers, I can't imagine it being better than the crisp sharpness of B&W. The movie is vintage Darabont and the story is likewise vintage King. True horrors in this film, both in the grotesque and in humanity. Be warned, this is not a feel-good picture at all. However, if you appreciate good characters in your monster movies and not just schlock, you'll love it. Excellent use of sound as well in both effects and music. Recommended with a group of like-minded friends to discuss and dissect (ahem) as well as enjoy.
