I really liked this film, especially the conclusion which I thought was one of the most chilling and moving finales of any film. I enjoyed the brutal nature of the zealots, the fear of the monsters in the mist turning them into monsters themselves, when really they should have been working together with the survivors. The leader of the cult was a particularly brilliant character. My only real gripe was that I felt the monsters were out of place. The CG monsters really broke the atmosphere of the movie, which I felt would have been a lot more suspenseful if the danger in the mist was more shadowy and never seen up close. Especially if that meant at the end, you could really question whether the monsters ever existed, or if the people just let hysteria get the better of them and started lashing out at the mist and each other over imagined threats.

I hate the fact that people think Stephen king is just a horror writer he is not he has a lot of sci-fi in his repertoire (sorry if spelt wrong but used mic).this film has the element of horror but is mainley looking at the fact there could be monsters /aliens in other dimensions

If your expecting a film like"the fog" then this is deffo not it.. if your squemish about bugs DONT WATCH... other than that its a good jumpy movie with plenty of 'oh crap!' moments..the ending is truly chilling and makes it worth watching...
