Young kids form a club that is devoted to monsters, but soon get more than they bargained for when Count Dracula adjourns to Earth, accompanied by Frankenstein's Monster, the Wolfman, the Mummy, and the Gillman. The uglies are in search of a powerful amulet that will grant them power to rule the world. Our heroes - the Monster Squad are the only ones daring to stand in their way.

This movie came out the year after I joined the Navy so I wasn't necessarily the target market. This was the first time that I had watched it and have to admit that I really enjoyed it. Now, I watched it with my 10 yo daughter. She probably should be a little older, but I explain things to my kid. Your discretion. There is language and some scenes that probably will need some context by parents. I had to explain what a virgin is and how some things the boys did were not really appropriate. Some of the jokes were dated, but overall, if your watching and can lend context, then they should like it. My kid did.

This movie is the ahit if you grew up In The 80s. It has better monster visual effects than any movie out today. Not exactly kid friendly in the language department, but still a good movie.

Love this movie. Just makes you feel like your back in the 80’s during that wholesome period. This is a classic in October or anytime of the year! Scary, funny, happy and all around excellent. Some older derogatory language regarding gay people but those were the times.
