I dont know wat all the fuss is about.I read ALL The Mortal Instruments and ALL The Infernal Devices twice and watched the movie 3 times. As you might have guessed I am a fangirl and I know the series very well.Whoever said that they squeezed 5 books into 1 movie is lieing. The actors were fantastic and plot was gripping even to someone like me who knows the story inside-out.Yes I agree, the movie wasn't exactly like the book but it was close enough.I was very happy with the movie and recommend it 2 everyone!

At least the dialogue doesn't make you cringe. I've seen many worse movies but i've also seen lots of better ones. There were some good moments the demon dog was pretty cool and i'd be lying if i said that seeing an evil mrs frederick didn't make me jump. Worth a watch but don't expect too much

This film was amazing, but it was nowhere near as brilliant as the book. I understand that it would be difficult to film on private property on an island in the middle of the manhattan river, but that is no excuse for claiming you can summon deamons on concecrated ground, or trying to fit nearly a week into two days and cutting out one of the best scenes OR making the 'bad guy' die at the end instead of what actually happened, etc. If they had stuck to the book, I would be less infuriated.
