اس مووی کے بارے میں

Boris Karloff's legendary performance has become a landmark in the annals of screen history. As the mummy, Im-Ho-Tep, he is accidentally revived after 3,700 years by a team of British archaeologists. It is revealed in a flashback that he was a high priest, embalmed alive for trying to revive the vestal virgin whom he loved, after she had been sacrificed. Alive again, he sets out to find his lost love. Today, over 50 years after The Mummy was first released, this brooding dream-like film remains a masterpiece not only of the genre, but for all time.

While not a bad film (and a much better film than Invisible Man or the Wolfman), it's kind of difficult to call this a "Monster" movie. Yes, he's a traditional mummy in the beginning, but it's like 5 minutes. The rest of the time he's just a wrinkly dude (who happens to be hundreds of years old). BTW, if you ever find someone trying to use a spell in a scroll to bring the dead back; maybe... IDK... don't bury that same guy with that spell. LOL

Best Mummy Ever! Karloff, once again, captures true evil, and yet his humanity is somehow a part of it. The flashback sequence, revealing how this ancient man became a mummy is horrifying. And the eery silence of how Karloff, now the Mummy, is so unnerving. Karloff had a lot of say on how he would become the mummy, and he was incredible. Karloff was never given his due. But watching these movies, I know I am in the presence of an actor that is astonishingly brilliant.
