As many others here, I enjoyed this movie thoroughly! It has a good mix of adventure, love and horror, spiced with some good comedy. Shame the series took a dip after. Easy, enjoyable popcorn cinema :)

It's a great movie if you're watching with group or family. The comedy here is subtle but noticable and overall entertaining

Long overdue a critical revaluation, the 1999 remake had great special effects, action sequences, is enjoyable, funny and extremely entertaining, even if Karloff's original 1932 version remains the superior film.
