The Necromancer, directed, produced, written and starring Stuart Brennan is a new film for 2019 that brings together war, friendship, loyalty, mystery, suspense and horror. The film is set during the Napoleonic War where a group of soldiers escapes the war and flees into the black forest. Between the present and flashbacks of the past we delve into each soldiers lives which we learn aren’t all heroic. Suddenly, strange goings on start occurring from a supernatural force that seems to have taken hold of the forest. Secret voices, flashbacks and disturbing memories lead to each soldier having to relive their darkest moment and paying the ultimate price for it. The Necromancer has been written beautifully and disturbingly and the actors have brought a fantastic script to life. The actors have been well cast and they play their parts perfectly, clearly putting their hearts and souls into their characters. Kudos to Mr Brennan for a disturbingly brilliant movie.
