A beautiful young wife (Carrie Coon) begins to see through the social-climbing facade of her entrepreneur husband (Jude Law) in this tense domestic thriller from the director of MARTHA MARCY MAY MARLENE.
There was no nest. They vaguely eluded to the house having some element inside that was making them angry towards one another, but it wasnโt shown. The ending sucked as well. We are left to assume they moved from the manor into the city.
SO GOOD. Carrie Coon and Jude Law are excellent as usual. The Nest is an artfully crafted, cleverly written film. It's a dramatic thriller but sometimes it feels like a horror movie because the atmosphere is so thick!! Wicked good.
Beautiful cinematography and set design. A treat for design lovers. This film was suggested to me by a friend who named it a "Feng Shui thriller" - I couldn't agree more.
