Reeling from the unexpected death of her husband, Beth (Rebecca Hall) is left alone in the lakeside home he built for her. She tries as best she can to keep it together, but then nightmares come – disturbing visions of a presence in the house calling to her, beckoning her with a ghostly allure. Against the advice of her friends, she begins digging into her husband's belongings, yearning for answers. What she finds are secrets both strange and disturbing – a mystery she's determined to unravel. I want to give this movie four stars, the visual style and acting are all great; the story itself is pretty solid for the most part as well. However the movie felt a bit rushed at the end, and unfortunately I always think it's goofy looking when someone is miming touching an invisible person; and there's some of that at the end. Despite some minor issues with the ending this is still a solid movie, Rebecca Hall is great, some creepy visuals, I'd recommend it.

absolutely amazing, would highly recommend, tells an incredibly unique and original story with an incredible lead actor, wasn't bored for a moment and very happy I went in blind. also other people are talking about like an audio error they must have updated it or something cuz I didn't experience that and have no clue what they're talking about.

Seemed like a good movie for the first 10 minutes until the sound stopped working, only small bits of background noise but otherwise no voices or anything for the rest of the film. Too bad I was looking forward to watching it
