Based on Armistead Maupin's (Tales of the City) international best seller, The Night Listener is a harrowing pyschological thriller that blurs the line between the fact and fiction. Celebrated author and radio show host, Gabriel Noone (Robin Williams) srikes up an intense telephone relationship with his biggest fans - a 13 year old boy (Rory Culkin) and his protective foster mother (Toni Collette). The disturbed boy has turned horrific stories of sexual abuse at the hands of his family into a powerful manuscript, which he hopes Gabriel will help publish. When troubling questions arise about the boy's identity and many of Gabriel's friends doubt the boy's existence at all, Gabriel embarks on a journey to find the truth.
