When a soon-to-be-married frat boy doesn't want to give up his bachelor pad, he decides to share his small New York City apartment with two tenants: Ellen, a dental hygienist with a passion for painting, and Sam (Matthew Broderick) a gourmet chef looking for privacy. Although they occupy the space on alternate days, Ellen and Sam fall in love with each other. but despite their obvious connection, a series of maddening events and wacky errors are keeping them from uniting in The Night We Never Met.

Just by accident came across this on a paid cable ch missed 20 minutes of it but couldn't stop watching it. its a cute romantic movie. I enjoyed it & forgot about it. Then I remembered Matthew Broderick & but only Annabelle Scorills face not her name. Then remembered she was in THE HAND THAT ROCK'S THE CRADLE. Now this is not an Oscar winning sorta movie just a fun rainy/wintery day romance movie. Buying it for my collection.
