Beautiful, brutal and mythic. Like an old Norse tale. Don't expect to be like a Netflix series - this is more an art film. One of my fav films of the last few years. Destined to be a cult classic, as it's currently underated and doesn't get the attention it deserves.

So disappointed 😞 was so hyped for this film but it did not deliver. Almost didn't bother watching to the end. Only gave it 2 stars for Anya Taylor-Joys performance. I love Norse mythology, but couldn't get in to this film.

If the plot seems familiar it's because it's based on an old norse legend, which served as the inspiration for Hamlet, which was in turn the inspiration for 1000 movies (including the Lion King). A visual masterclass. Watch in a dark room, on a big TV with the sound up and enjoy the ride.
