A young woman enters the convent and cares for the indigent in the Belgian Congo, but as World War II breaks out, her free spirit and hatred for the enemy make her question her calling to God. In a span of less then twenty years Audrey Hepburn achieved more then most in her medium could ever dream of and this film forever sealed her legacy as one of the finest actresses of our time. With a four time Oscar winning director and as solid a supporting cast as one could wish for, Hepburn brings the viewer as close as anyone was ever likely to get to seeing her true soul and what was in her heart. My was fair lady and BAT would soon follow but she was never better then this. A beloved classic.

Wonderful film!!! Audrey Hepburn was amazing and very natural and endearing in her portrayal of a nun figuring out her faith and the strength and will to continue. Finding the courage to do what is according to your heart and good will, this film was to the bone was very a testament of Audrey's class, grace, elegance, humility and simplicity, i n bringing to life every role she steps into!!!

What a beautiful classic story . It's a cliché but they just don't make movies like this anymore .
