"Set in New York City, The Other Guys follows Detective Allen Gamble (Will Ferrell), a forensic accountant who's more interested in paperwork than hitting the streets, and Detective Terry Hoitz (Mark Wahlberg), a tough guy who has been stuck with Allen as his partner ever since an unfortunate run-in with Derek Jeter. Allen and Terry idolize the city's top cops, Danson and Highsmith (Dwayne Johnson and Samuel L. Jackson), but when an opportunity arises for the Other Guys to step up, things don't quite go as planned.

There is a real, winning formula when Adam McKay and Will Ferrell make a film together. I was really interested to see how Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg would translate together on screen. I was surprised to see how well it turned out, they both are extremely funny together and work off each other well. Great cameos by Michael Keaton and Samuel L Jackson, along with the beautiful Eva Mendes.

Mark Wahlberg plays a great cop who stereotypes everyone as a criminal and Will Ferrell seems like a derpy detective but is actually the brains of the duo. Great jokes from start to end. Instant classic.

There are some great lines and funny scenes. It's not the best work of either actor, but it will make you laugh.
