In 1776 South Carolina, widower and legendary war hero Benjamin Martin (Mel Gibson) finds himself thrust into the midst of the American Revolutionary War as he helplessly watches his family torn apart by the savage forces of the British Redcoats. Unable to remain silent, he recruits a band of reluctant volunteers, including his idealistic patriot son, Gabriel (Heath Ledger), to take up arms against the British. Was this film part of the 7years of American war of independence coz its too much historical,bt all i wishe d to see the other general killed who ordered to burn people in Church finally killed the same way as killed heath Ledger,grt film go watch it plz of not yet en those saw it rewatch it

Como van a cobrar una pelicula del año 2000. Ni habia nacido. Porque no dejan gratis a las peliculas viejas. Un poco mas y venden peliculas de 1960. Asi no. La puedo ver por el televisor y gratis

It drives me cry everytime I watch it. On the other side I found 2 values. Firstly, I could see the strong value of a family. Secondly, the value of being heroic and standing on the truth no matter what.
