I absolutely enjoyed every moment of this movie, that well documents the history and development of the obsessive and compelling brief history of our beloved effects pedals. Why we love to collect and abuse these strange little boxes of metal, plastic and other exotic materials. Why brave curious others dare to venture inside into the realms of mystery circuits: technologies blending anciently esoteric and of the future of beyond. Lads and Ladies and the In-Betweens improving the past and creating new sounds, colors and textures for us to explore and paint with our strings and fingers. What was once a novelty product grew into industry and now countless creators and seemingly more every year. I want to mention my friend Jon Bessent aka Vintage Jon of Austone Electronics who produced a meticulous hand built line of effects pedals for many years that were popular, sadly we lost him but he would have loved this movie and likely may well have been a player in the game.

Rented it while at work. It wouldn't stream. Waited until I got home to be connected to my internet; nothing. Besides for my receipt it's as if I never rented it. Not in my library, nowhere. Wants me to pay AGAIN. Google won't give refund, says contact developer, can't contact developer. Thanks alot for ripping off a working stiff. Like the pedal business as a whole; it's a rip off.

1) This movie was really fun. I love guitar pedals, and I really enjoyed the interviews with all the different builders and artists. The historical walk through was interesting. My favorite aspect was just listening to happy, creative people talk about what they love doing. 2) It's really sad to me that people are leaving 1 star reviews because of a Google Play availability issue. That's an issue with Google, not this film.
