A young boy in bed with flu is not impressed when his grandfather arrives to read the story of 'The Princess Bride'. Let's just say this is the greatest film ever made. Why is this, well i'll tell you: It has everything e.g fighting, torture, romance and death. It stays close to the book (which is utterly amazing, you should try it) The characters feel real enougj for you to support or despise them. The comedy is top-hat if i say so myself.

A friend recommended this years ago but I wasn't inspired by his brief synopsis. I just watched it now with my pre-teen children - we all loved it. Top film in so many ways.

This movie has been like a companion to me through the past 30 years. It's the go to movie for escapism and laughter and I've list count of the times I've watched it. I can't recommend it highly enough...
