Pay no attention to all of these pseudo-intellectual, uninformed reviews, written by people who if asked to name they're favorite horror movie would probably say "final destination" or something equally bad. This was far more than an "evil kid" movie, to quote the people who dumped all over it. It was a masterfully suspenseful, deeply unnerving, psychological horror movie, with a very interesting take on the possession/supernatural area in horror films. If you think your so brave, watch this movie with all the lights out, by yourself at home, at night, with your doors unlocked.....you'll shut it off after 20 minutes!!!

Putting kids in movies is like betting on a 3 legged horse at a derby. Only by some miraculous circumstance does it pay off and you get the 1/500 payout. This movie represents that horses missing leg. God awful and just cringey, I wish I could unsee it.

One way to judge a horror movie with good content is to gague the behaviors you adapt in response to it. With Psycho, people started locking the bathroom doors and avoided closing their eyes in the shower. With Child's Play, children started locking up their dolls. Some people feared sleeping after Nightmare on Elm Street. This movie was okay, and I'm not comparing it to these movies, but I wrote this second review to say that it made me watch where I step in the dark. So, it had its moment(s).
