Über diesen Film

Taking on a deadly crime syndicate to rescue two elephants in a foreign country is a daunting challenge, even for a martial arts master like Kham (Tony Jaa). Despite the help of Sergeant Mark (Phetthai Wongkhamlao), a Thai police Sergeant based in Australia, and Pla (Bongkod Kongmalai), a Thai girl forced into modern day slavery, the going gets tough. They must take on the ruthless gang of Madame Rose (Jin Xing), whose henchmen include Johnny (Tri Nguyen), a Vietnamese thief and martial arts expert, and the hulking TK (Nathan B Jones).

Trying to figure out why this one is $12.99 yet the newer sequel is only $6.99 🤦🏼‍♂️ yes the sequel was complete garbage comparatively, but there's zero reason a 2006 movie should be this price no matter how good it is. Which it's a great martial arts flick, just not at this price. 4+ stars for the movie, zero for the price 🖕🏻

But this not the original. The original movie "Tom yum goong" is nearly 25 minutes longer and actually has a plot. This is the bastardized version by the Weinsteins that trims out practical everything not a punch. Scenes start with no setup, the dubbing is horrible and I had to stop after 20 minutes. Don't support them. Try to track down the original.

This is choreography at it's best!!! I really think the people who write the scripts for wrestling shows like TNA should watch this ( I swear the plot is like a wrestling storyline ). A man is chosen to protect an elephant (there highly revered in Thailand), from poachers who have stolen his and he ends up fighting....um....everyone. It's a like a live 2D beat em up with better moves. He fights henchmen and bosses all the while being told his elephant is in another castle Why it Rocks: - Awesome choreography!!! It's like a Jackie Chan movie on steroids. The action is amazing. -The fighting is so awesome you'll never wonder why they can't dodge a knee to the face since it's easier to dodge than a kick. -The parkor moves are so amazing that you'll never wonder why the love interest seems to be a promise to an elephant. -The bone breaking moves are so amazing they'll make you say "oh" so many times you'll call this movie "fight porn" -He does his own stunts: No Obama Care worries here friends! He does it all from taking hits, to running on walls. -It's in the new action capital of the world, Thailand!!! (Seriously their movies are the new standard in action choreography)
